Powerplus Series Busway
Design
Powerplus Series Busway is a low impedance busway designed for high rise buildings and heavy industrial applications where high current capacity and strong fault handling are required. Rated from 400A to 5000A, it features a unique one bar per phase design using copper or aluminium conductors, allowing it to occupy significantly less space than conventional busway systems that require multiple bars per phase. Its narrow profile enables flexible installation in risers or under ceilings, simplifies plant layout and connections, and delivers very low voltage drop, often allowing smaller conductors to be used. With longer module lengths and fewer joints, it reduces installation time and overall building costs, while meeting international standards including ISO 9001:2015, IP66 protection and independent certification to IEC 61439 6, BS EN 61439 6 and CCC requirements.
Compact design
The unique l bar design and cooling fins have resulted in the most compact busway system available. In the higher ampere range, Powerplus Series Busway typically takes less than half the space of other busway systems.
Case as earth
Since it is made from extruded aluminium which provides a better capacity earthing medium than sheet steel casing, the casing of busways can be used as the earth.
Outdoor applications
Each section of Powerplus Series Busway is fully sealed in the factory. Joints between sections can easily be adapted to outdoor applications. The corrosion- resistant aluminium case is ideally suited to outdoor applications and complies to IP66 standard.
